Book ahead if you need a particular departure. Your booking confirmation identifies the service you have reserved.

You can show your digital e-ticket on your smartphone at the check-in desk. Download or save a copy before leaving your hotel so it is available without a mobile connection.

Our ticket policy allows one complimentary date change when the request is received at least 48 hours before the original departure. Contact the booking team using the details on your confirmation.

Allow approximately 60–90 minutes by road from Phuket International Airport to Rassada Pier. Traffic can make the transfer longer, particularly during busy morning periods.

Rassada Pier is approximately 20 km from Patong. A taxi normally takes around 45–60 minutes, depending on your pickup point, route and traffic.

The pier is approximately 5 km from Phuket Old Town, usually around 15 minutes by car in light traffic. You can arrange a local taxi or check availability through Grab, Bolt or inDrive.

Check traffic near your actual departure time. A late-night estimate can be much shorter than the same drive during Phuket Town’s school and commuter rush hour.

For an early ferry, leave a generous traffic buffer and follow the check-in time on your ticket. Arriving after check-in closes can mean missing your booked boat.

Local taxis and minivans are generally available outside the terminal. You can also check a ride-hailing app such as Grab or Bolt. Availability and waiting times vary, so arrange pickup ahead of time if you have a flight or another timed connection.

A direct speedboat usually takes approximately 1 hour. A standard ferry generally takes around 2 hours.

Check the arrival pier and duration for your selected service; stops, sea conditions and the operator’s schedule can affect the timing.

The standard ferry to Ao Nang or Railay takes approximately 3 hours and offers an air-conditioned passenger area. A direct speedboat service takes approximately 75 minutes.

Choose by the listed arrival point, departure time and boat type. The available services can differ by date.

Direct services to Saladan Pier, Koh Lanta are available on the booking timetable. A direct speedboat takes approximately 90 minutes; listed standard ferry options may take around 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 15 minutes.

Confirm the duration and any stops on the departure you select.

Overnight parking is available at the terminal, with indicative charges of approximately THB 100–200 per night for a standard car or SUV.

Confirm the current price and collection arrangements with the parking attendant before leaving your vehicle.

There is no separate admission fee to enter Rassada Pier. Destination charges, such as the Phi Phi environmental fee, are separate from entering the Phuket terminal.

The terminal has a waiting area, toilets and kiosks selling coffee, cold drinks and light snacks. Allow time to use the facilities before your boarding call, especially if you are taking a speedboat.

Follow the check-in team’s instructions. Staff may give you a coloured boarding sticker; keep it visible so the crew can identify your service.

Listen for the boarding announcement and check your destination with staff before joining a queue.

Be ready when your service is called and follow the crew’s boarding order. Seating arrangements vary by operator and boat.

If you have a seating preference or need assistance, ask at check-in. Boarding last does not guarantee a particular seat.

Crew or local porters may be able to help. If assistance is offered, ask whether a fee is expected before handing over your bags.

You can politely decline if you prefer to carry your own luggage.

Standard luggage weighing up to 20 kg per passenger is included in the ticket price at no additional charge. Speedboat storage is limited. Oversized luggage or baggage exceeding the 20 kg allowance will incur an additional fee, payable to the check-in staff at the pier.

The ferry and speedboat services described here are for foot passengers. They do not carry scooters, motorcycles or cars.

The bow can feel more movement in choppy water, while seats farther back may be noisier because of the engines. Tell the crew if you are concerned about motion and follow their seating advice.

Remain in your assigned seat and follow the crew’s safety instructions.

Larger ferries have designated luggage areas. On speedboats, the crew may stack bags in a shared storage area.

Keep passports, medicines, electronics and fragile items with you in a small secure bag. Protect items that must stay dry.

Standard ferries generally have onboard toilets. Speedboat facilities are smaller and vary by vessel; some services may have limited or no usable toilet facilities.

Use the terminal toilets before boarding and check with the operator if an onboard toilet is essential for you.

Motion sickness medicine is not sold or provided at the pier. The pier and its staff do not select, recommend, supply, or administer medication.

Passengers who may need medication should consult a qualified pharmacist or doctor and purchase it before arriving. Any medication must be selected, obtained, and taken independently by the passenger.

Saltwater spray can reach exposed seats. Use a sealed dry bag for your phone, passport and portable charger, even if your device has a water-resistance rating.

Keep a secure hold on your belongings and follow the crew’s instructions when taking photos.

You may use an outside passenger deck when it is open and the crew permits access. Wind can make the sun feel less intense, so use sun protection and take breaks in the shaded or indoor passenger area.

Secure loose items and stay inside any marked passenger boundaries.

For accommodation near Tonsai Village, walking is the usual way to continue from the pier. Some hotels arrange staff to meet arriving passengers and help with luggage.

For Long Beach, Laem Tong or another coastal resort, ask your hotel about a boat transfer and whether it should be booked in advance.

Bring some Thai baht in small notes for local charges and onward transport, including the THB 20 environmental fee listed for Phi Phi.

Have cash available rather than relying on card or QR payment, and confirm the current charge locally.

Some transfers involve a beach or shallow-water landing. Choose suitable footwear and ask the operator in advance if you need step-free assistance.
